2IMPREZS Partner Meeting, Berlin 8th -9th March 2018

2IMPREZS Partner Meeting, Berlin 8th -9th March 2018

The project partners of 2IMPREZS http://northsearegion.eu/2imprezs/ will come together on the 8th and 9th of March to discuss upcoming tasks, that will define the next steps for energy saving actions in existing school buildings across the Interreg North sea Region in order to reduce energy consumption and costs and increase comfort.

The Interreg North Sea project brings together ten partners from the four countries Belgium, United Kingdom, The Netherlands, Germany and Denmark. The project uses a novel approach, based on active participation and initiatives of school stakeholders (teachers, students, management) while putting a focus on pupil’s engagement and using the project partners’ experiences.

2IMPREZS will create a joint energy saving programme through Energy Challenges in schools and an innovative decision making model, incorporating cost-effective educational, technical and financial measures, which guarantees 15% energy reduction by behavior change.

Over the two days meeting, a project progress update from each partner, a review of the monitoring plan and an update on the next period activities, as well as the discussion of communication and dissemination activities will be part of the comprehensive agenda.

As a highlight the international delegation will be hosted by the Embassy of Lower Saxony, Germany in order to get an impression about energy efficiency legislation and energy efficiency actions in school buildings in this federal state, that will allow experiences to be shared with the 2IMPREZS partnership.

This early development of political engagement within the deliverables of the project, will lay the foundation to demonstrate what is actually achievable by using the pupils themselves as energy agents, thus giving politicians clear information about the project and thus gaining more political support, in order to build capacity and provide long term results.
